I heard it said: “tasting a culture helps one to understand a culture.” Mrs. Barron & I gave each of our Wildcats a “red envelope” today as part of our celebration of Lunar / Chinese New Year. Each envelope contained a pair of chopsticks & a sheet explaining how to use them. We encouraged our children to eat with them tonight as a way of understanding an aspect of the Asian culture. We are blessed by the diversity of our school community & wish all our families, especially those of Asian descent, blessings for a happy, healthy New Year!
